Aspartame dangerous or tasty light

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that is 160 to 200 times sweeter than sugar and is also known as E951. Because of this high sweetening power and low energy value for the body, aspartame is widely used in sweet light products such as soft drinks. Since the introduction of the artificial sweetener in the early 1980s, there have been negative reports circulating about the effects of aspartame on health, but is aspartame dangerous to health? Aspartame is marketed under the names Nutrasweet and Canderel, in addition to the brand name Equal, which is mainly marketed in the US.
