Regarding the question of whether the vegan diet is healthier than that of the 'omnivore', it may be important to note that it has been scientifically proven that vegetarians are sick less often and have a longer life expectancy than meat-eaters. Both blood pressure and the intake of LDL cholesterol are lower in people who follow a vegetarian diet.
