How is Organic Almond Oil made?

Amandel trees are grown in Morocco, Southern Europe, Iran, Turkey and California. 80% of the almonds come from California. The almonds are washed and then pressed.

Cold Pressed Almond Oil

By using pressing processes that do not produce heat, all the natural nutrients and enzymes are preserved in the oil. Heating causes oxidation and this kills enzymes and nutrients. Cold pressed oils and juices are therefore healthier and more nutritious than traditionally pressed liquids.

During the pressing process, the oil comes out of the nuts and then the oil is filtered once.

Applications of Sweet Almond Oil

The sweet almond oil is made from edible almonds. As an all-round cosmetic oil, it is used in a wide range of products. Almond oil is rich in vitamins A and E and will thoroughly soften, protect and nourish the (dry) skin. The high oleic acid content contributes to soft and smooth skin. Almond oil is the most commonly used oil in natural cosmetics, creams, lotions and as a baby massage oil. Use almond oil for a truly nourishing and caring treatment for body, hair and nails.
