Dried savory

Dried savory by Holyflavours. 100% Natural, without additives. As the name suggests, savory is very suitable as an addition to dishes with beans.

Savory is an aromatic, low-growing plant with many green, oblong leaves. The taste of dried savory is reminiscent of a combination of the herbs and spices: thyme, mint and marjoram. Add it to a dish as last to retain the most flavour! Store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Good herbs

Bean sprout (savory, Satureja hortensis) is more than just a tasty condiment! It makes highly digestible dishes easier to digest because it helps break down fats.

Savory's flavour is best appreciated in hot dishes. It is often used in Mediterranean and Eastern European cuisine. You will often find it in mixes like Provencal herbs and Italian herbs. "On its own, it can be added to, for example, stews, paella, soups, goulash and game dishes. In ancient times, the Romans made savory sauce, which they ate with fish and meat. Cooks all had their own secret recipe for this beloved sauce!

Make your own version with the recipe below. Savory is also delicious in salads, marinades and pickles, and is a great substitute for salt and pepper! Be careful with large amounts of savory during pregnancy.
