Himalayan Crystal Salt pink Granulate 2-5 mm
Original Himalayan Crystal Salt
This crystal salt originates from the salt range in Pakistan. The salt range belongs geologically, but not geographically, to the Himalayan massif. Himalayan crystal salt is a natural table salt that is about 250 million years old. Salt without chemical additives and fluxes that is extracted as it has been done for hundreds of years.
Himalayan Crystal Salt formed more than 250 million years ago during the disappearance of the original ocean. It is harvested by hand on the Tibetan high plains. Salt from the Himalayas used to be called "salt of the king" because the very high quality salt was sold only to the local nobility. The pink colour comes from the minerals that the salt has absorbed such as sodium chloride, magnesium and calcium.
This Himalayan salt is fine crystal salt that is unrefined and still has all the good properties that salt possesses. Most of the salts available in the market have been processed, which has washed out the best nutrients. This pink salt may be called an exception. It means that the minerals and trace elements have been preserved. It may not seem like it, but there was a time when the Himalayas were not mountains, but part of the sea. Whereas the modern sea is heavily polluted, Himalayan salt is still pure. This means that the salt has all of its original properties. Refined salts contribute little or nothing to our health. Himalayan salt is the natural alternative and is not for nothing known as the salt of salts
Taste and use
This natural rock salt is characterised by its mild flavour and is therefore extremely suitable as culinary salt for various table dishes. The pink Himalayan salt can also be used in a steam bath, salt bath or sauna. Ever heard of salt pipes? This salt is also very suitable for this purpose. Pure and natural salt is said to have a cleansing effect on the airways and to make breathing easier. Inhaling is a kind of meditative exercise. This product can be ordered in bulk.
Can also be used as a refill for a Saltpipe.
Most of our Himalayan salt comes from the Khewra salt mine, the largest of a total of 5 mines in the foothills of the Himalayan massif, the so-called salt range.

Bath salt is sea salt or rock salt
For bath salts no common kitchen salt is used. You want to feel a certain effect when using bath salts. These effects are caused by minerals. Such minerals are not found in kitchen salt because they have been removed from it. Sea salts and rock salts in particular contain a lot of minerals.
Himalayan salt is a rock salt.
Himalayan salt often has a pink colour due to the presence of the mineral iron. Himalayan salt also contains a lot of calcium, magnesium, potassium and sulphates. Use himalayan salt as a bath salt when you want a relaxing bath before going to bed. In combination with warm water, the minerals present in the salt help to stimulate the blood circulation and relax your muscles.
So yes, this salt is extremely suitable as a bath salt.
You best choose a granulate rather than a powder, which dissolves more slowly, releasing the minerals in the bath water over a longer period of time.
